06-07 2.5i full exhaust question

Hey, I was just curious because I just was forced to spend the money that i was going to use for all of my exhaust componants..aka headers cat and cat back. I just ordered the Catback, but when i get the money i was wondering if i could buy the headers and install them with the stock cat and keep the stock cat till i can replace it. Would it fit?

No! You cannot keep the stock cat on a 2006 or newer car if you install headers. You need a 2005 or older cat section to bolt up. Just save your money and wait until you can buy it all. Read this entire thread:

You can always modify a WRX header to bolt up to the stock cat-section. At least you've got the cat-back coming. Its a start for some sound.
