Probably DO have a EVAP leak. Only way to find out is by doing a smoke test. Which most shops should be able to do for EVAP leaks. Or clear it again and tighten the gas cap 3 clicks tight...Still doesnt solve the problem take it to a shop to fix the leak. If you cant afford to go to a shop then try to find a broken/damaged/loose hose on the evap lines and go from there.

P0420 is cat inefficiency. Are you running catless? You can do the MIL fix.

i have E-bay replica header and 2.5" CBE and stock cats. i was getting the P0420 code all the time till i replaced my front O2 sensor. easy fix but kinda spendy. i still throw the P0420 code every now and then when it is cold but i just clear it and it is no big deal cuz i know why it is being thrown.

So you have the 1 cat on the midpipe? If so, that cat is after the sensors.

Confused, =/ please elaborate.

Also, i dont think my front 02 sensor is bad, but i know lots of people get the p0420 code bcause of the headers But they run catless, or hf cats, im running stock so wtf?! Do i need new cats? Sensors? Maybe wrap my headers?

It is very common with your setup to get a CEL, the people you probably are thinking of own 03 and newer RS's and they are not as picky about exhaust mods. Best bet is to slap on some stock headers and go that way

O2 sensors are before and after the cats. The job of the rear one is to see is if you're cat is working or whether or not you have a cat. Otherwise P0420 will go on. Wrapping your headers will not replace having a cat in your exhaust. That's so stupid.

Im running stock cats, and my 02 sensors were replace not too long ago. I got this code after i got my headers installed. So it was a stab in the dark. Canada's stupid.

actually some have said that wrapping them does help that cel go away but it is never a gurantee. Also said to help cause cracking with the increased heat.

Eitherway why not put stock headers on and be done with it

I dont have my stockers anymore, and i just bought an ispeed reflash, so it would **** the car up if i didnt have headers.
