So a friend of a friend got popped up in Washington state for speeding.
Problem is said friend of friend is also being accused of having 3lbs of weed in the trunk (I guess he's not a very bright bulb). I have an AMAZING attorney down here in CO (He starts felony cases at $25,000 and goes up from there, dude could have gotten OJ off) but don't know anybody in that league up in Washintgon state. So let's hear it. Best damn lawyer money can buy for this type of thing up in your neck of the woods. Thanks guys.

Ya...smoking is really worth it now...isn't it!? Your friend's friend deserves what he/she is convicted of. If your friend's friend is the type that believes in the line of thinking it was a "victimless crime" he/she is foolish.

Trafficking is nones the cool
![]() ![]() Theres really little he can do. Especially if the search was conducted lawfully. Just plead guilty and hope the judge reduces it to a misdemeanor charge with MILES of community service tacked on. |

I don't really think that he can argue this in court... I mean, that's a lot of weed.

I'm pretty sure that much drugs isn't "possession" its "possession with the intent to traffic" which bumps it from a misdemeanor to a felony.
I could be wrong though. |

3lbs?!?!
Its going to take a really good lawyer to help out with that one. I agree with the post about not speeding when you have illigal stuff in the car. |

you sure he got pulled over speeding and not for suspicion of mischief due to driving around with deployed air bags?
"they find 2 pounds of Jamaican lambs wool. Prosecutor wants to put us away for a dime, but the judge gives us rehab instead." maybe if he can prove he actually smokes enough weed to necessitate possessing that much he can get the rehab. I'm guessing your friend of a friend was from Colorado (same as you). Which probably means he was up here picking up some fine Canadian sheeba. In which case he's pretty hozed. Hopefully he voted for obama cause thats probably going to be the last time he ever gets an "I voted" sticker. |

Anything over 40 grams in the sate of Washington is a felony. From there, I don't know where the intent to traffic etc. etc. comes into play.
How did he get busted? It's pretty easy to disguise the smell (vacuum sealed), and if you're driving with weed on you, let alone 3 pounds, you better check your lights, and obey the traffic laws. Also, how did they search his trunk? Did he not have it locked up in a box in the trunk? He sounds like a ****ty drug dealer to me. |

That's probably going to be felony posession, felony trafficking, and possibly felony intent to distribute. GL with that.... the laws are pretty ass backwards but thats the way it is. I'd make bail and flee to mexico.
And jeanie muckelstone should be able to take care of that speeding ticket. |

What does it take to go from "pulled over for speeding" to "car searched?"

![]() Yeah, don't want that speeding ticket on your record when you flee the country! Also: Your "friend of a friend" is a total dumbass. I can't imagine how much 3 pounds of weed is, but I'm imagining a small bale of hay. ![]() Also again: Someone needs to mass-market a "weed" scented air freshener, you pot heads can just say "No officer, I just like the smell. It's my air freshener, honest!" |

true, you can deny them permission to search. instead, they will detain your paperwork and license and wait for a warrant and other units. so while youre sweating it, wondering why theyre just letting you sit there, the hammer is coming down, and you dont even know it. |
