Talking Introductions...

Hi everyone. Bought my first Sube last November. After obsessing forever, I finally broke down and got a black 2001 Forester S Premium ( pictures here ). Forester owners are allowed in the club, right? It is based on the Impreza, afterall.

I haven't been able to find anything about the club itself. Does it exist? What are the details? Do you have meets or anything?

WELCOME to the club!!

This page should answer all your questions: http://drive.to/yourlimits

But I'll answer them anyway:
1) YES
2) you wanted detail, see web page first.
3) YES

Be sure to join the listbot on the NESIC site. That way you'll get all the meet info when Kris sends out his wonderful general e-mail to the club. (Webkris) aka Kris is our leader, and his wife Amy (newly weds.) drives a Forrester also. You are more than welcome here.

If you have any other questions about stuff on the webste, post them here, e-mail or PM me personally, or even Webkris.

We are all more than happy to answer your questions.

Don't forget to check out the Forrest Forum on the I-club too.

Nice! I am so jealous of your cargo space.

Nice ride, Paul!

There are a bunch of pix at the link I posted, but here's on in my back yard.

I needed the Forester because I have two babies, so it was essential that I had something with lots of room. The Outback was too sedate for me, the VW Passat 4motion too expensive to even try, the Rav4 a joke, and the surprising Hyundai Santa Fe was too much of a gas-guzzler (I have a 130-mile daily commute and already have 10k+ miles).

I like the raised Forester! Way cool.
Might need running boards to get the babies in though.

Hey Jgaurd18, is your bent plate the tragedy of a snow bank by any chance? Mine bent the exact same way at Team O'Neils.

Here is another shot of my car, since I love looking at it. Maybe I should run downstairs now?

<IMG SRC="http://24.147.94.96/nesic/members/paul/rsdrvrear2.jpg" border=0>

I'll stop now. I don't want you to think I am full of myself.

Pictures of my babies (besides my car) can be seen here:

Welcome to the club! These are a great bunch of guys, and if you ever have any questions, they tend to be very helpful with answers.

Here's a picture of my babies They tend to take up some space, that's why we got the Sedan instead of the Coupe:

<IMG SRC="http://people.ne.mediaone.net/burkeb/car/dogz.jpg" border=0>

This is my second Subaru, I miss the cargo space of my first:

<IMG SRC="http://people.ne.mediaone.net/burkeb/car/old.jpg" border=0>

But...you'll see how persuasive the RS owners are...I really wanted one all along, so in October, I traded my Outback Sport in for a 2001 RS...the last Model Year before the restyling...

<IMG SRC="http://people.ne.mediaone.net/burkeb/car/redlite.jpg" border=0>

My mom's got a Forester, and it rules. I love it! Down the road if we ever get the non-furry kind of baby...I'll possibly look to getting rid of my husbands Saturn...and get a Forester!

Welcome!

-Amy

Welcome!

Around here it seems as if you're pretty much accepted as long as your baby a) has a flat-four b) has AWD and c) is made in the land of the rising sun.

Well, wait. That won't work. There are even a few non-Subies on board. I'll have to rethink. Maybe you just need to rubberneck whenever you see an RS...

Thanks for the welcome, gang! Sweet rides abound here.

Those modified Foresters are sweet. But I don't have the spare cashola lying around to do any cool mods for a while. My first three priorities for mods are: tinted windows, hood deflector, and tweeter upgrade. Then perhaps a larger sway bar, higher springs, etc.

BTW, it's AIR Forester:

Both VERY nice!

burr101,

Your living my dream!! I have had both but not at the same time. It's funny but just today I was thinking on the way home from work (driving my mustang) man if I only had an RS now, I would be satisfied.
