Default Need Feedback

I am planning once I get my car back to begin running autox on a regular basis and some track events. I would like to know what class I would fall under and besides a lot of seat time what else would I need or need to change on my setup and be competitive. Any feedback will be appreciated.

Also what class will I fall under?

Here are my mods:
Engine
Built ej257 with 100mm CP pistons and Manley Rods
SZ49 turbo
38mm ewg open dump
gt spec headers uel (wrapped)
uppipe with ewg adaptor
3in Invidia dp (catless)
3in Bosal exhaust (catless)
perrin boost control solenoid
perrin big maf
perrin inlet 2.4in
crawford air/oil separator
Power enterprise 850cc inj
step colder plugs
fuel pump

Suspension
JDM pink springs with stock 04 sti struts
perrin sway bars with perrin endlinks (not sure of the size, installed by previous owner)
cusco H brace
front and rear ebay strut bars
steering bushings by kartboy

Tranny
spec stage 1 clutch
?? flywheel (clutch was installed by previous owner)
kartboy shifter bushings
kartboy short shifter
Wheels and Tires
stock bbs 17x7.5
Kumho ecsta asx (planning to get Kumho MX's or XS's)

These are the parts installed on my car.
I plan on getting coilovers (most likely BC), upgraded rear diff bushings, rear subframe lock bolts, alk (anti lift kit), fender brace, a helmet and maybe a harness.
Thanks for your time.

First the engine and turbo puts you straight to Street Mod.

Better look at Coilovers and big wheels and tires to be competitive in that class.

If you add the ALK you bump to Prepared suspension wise. Not sure what the turbo would do to your classing then. Mod?

Hopefully your local area has a Run-What-U-Brung class. We do ... and starting this year, a separate class for the same, but with street tires ... for you average street "tuner" guy ... together with an official Newb championship ... requiring only six results.

Autocannon ... if you're just "playing" around to "test" your car, and feel the waters ... shouldn't matter what class you run in at first, ie. just run with the big boys in Prepared. You can still compare your times with whomever.

Stop modifying your car and put all you resources into the nut behind the wheel, your class won't matter for at least the first year because you won't be a good driver without that seat time you refer to. However, sounds like the class you'll be in will require more than seat time - find all the auto-x schools, test & tunes, etc, that you can go to. Put the word "competitive" out of your vocabulary and focus on leaving every event where your last few runs are faster than your first few.

You'd have an easier time being competitive in a stock 2.5RS than in that beast you've built!

I gave up motorsport and sold the rally car 2 years ago when my daughter was born, so I'm a bit rusty. They have instructors at every auto-x event and they'll ride with you and give you guidance based on your runs, best free instruction you can get. Unfortunately most clubs don't let passengers ride at auto-x unless they are 'certified' instructors, which I'm not.
