DON`T DO IT... you`ll regret blobeye for sure... hawkeye on a trackcar is sexy though!

I know, i don't dislike the bugeye, i just don't mind the others as well. i favor the others because of the head lights. i really dislike 9007 bulbs

you could always grab a set of jdm projectors. I have a 02 psm bugeye myself and i agree they can look a lilltle ugly when stock. A front lip, sti grille, and minor adjustments and they will look sick.

i've got a greddy lip on it and i think it looks great but i really want hids for the better light out put...i can't really drop 600-900 bucks +150 for the bulbs to get a set of jdm's, don't get me wrong i'd really love to get my hands on the jdm projectors, i just don't have the funds, i'm just going this route to get the hid's a lil' cheaper, also to have some wrench time on my car to gain some know how

you could also look into getting retrofitted HID projectors into bugeye headlights

lightwerkz does it, among others...

Not straight swap...core supports are different on each iteration of the GD Impreza chassis.

You will need to swap core supports.

This means cutting + welding.. make sure you can do this properly

i'm still contemplating the retrofitting route (there's nothing better then one-of's) but it would be easier if i found another subie owner thats looking to swap cause then i would have help.

BTW bugeye WRX, that's a hell of a deal! i don't think my luck will grant me somthing that nice though.

Might be easier to just do the retrofit.... Someone is selling OEM lexus bulbs and ballasts for a 150 shipped in one of the threads in MWSOC classifields. All you would have to find would be projectors.

I've done some guesstimation via ebay prices and the d2s bulb hid kits run 50$ for the cheapest, projectors run 200$ and another set of bug eye light run 150$. If I could round up ~400$ I may go this route but until then, I'd like to keep my options open.

BTW does any one know if the d2s bulb are bi-xenon? i'd like to keep my hi-beams I go the retrofit route.

Some are bixenon while some aren't.. Just have to find a setup that was bi xenon before. (Like the Fx35 HID setup)

thanks! i did some research and found that there are bi xenon projectors that come with a motor to move the cut-off, i think i may be leaning toward a retro-fit...still if some one is interested in a swap, i'd be down.
