Default 1998 forester motor swap = no electric power

I have a 1998 Forester 5 speed. Replaced the timing belt with tensioner. 3000 miles later tensioner bolt broke causing valve damage. Pissed but what ever I'm over that now. Got a new (used) motor from a 98 Forester with a bad transmission. It was a automatic and this is a 5 speed, but that shouldn't matter. Got most everything hooked up went to test compression before getting everything back together and found that most electrics don't work. All that I have found working so far is key in door open chime, door locks, horn, parking lights, and hazards. No dash lights, radio, dome light, headlights, start, etc...

Checked the obvious. all fueses are good and everything that needs to be plugged in is plugged. Grounds are good.

Cliff notes:
Engine swap = no power to anything but key in door open chime, door locks, horn, parking lights, and hazards.

Any help would be greatly appreciated,
