Except to see how far you left the car you were toying with behind

x2, any 600cc sportbike from 00 or 01 and newer can smoke most anything on the road..

of course theres always exceptions, 10/9 sec street evo's, supras, vipers, mustangs, etc

maybe the evo community just has more skilled drivers. i see what some guys here are running and it makes me wonder if they start out in 3rd gear.

An sti with good pistons, all the other necessary part and a 40R can go 9's.

When the sti starts really dropping in price I will buy one and build a 9 second full weight street car.

Give it a few more years till these cars get cheaper and you'll see a lot more fast ones around. I see a lot more fast wrx's lately now that they have hit the 6-7K range.

Theres alot more 9 second evo's then any subarus. so only 20 are in the 9's according to whatevers posted on evoM..thats about 18 more then any subarus

phatron, stop lying to yourself. the evo is and will be for quite sometime, consistently faster. you need alot of $$ and luck to make a 9 second subaru, but it's been done more then enough times on a DSM to have a proven formula. Argue all you want with mundane facts, 1/4 mile times dont lie

I argue the fact. Nothing a little know how and money can't fix. I haven't seen and Evo's in the 7's yet. Busher's the only one even close. Rigoli performance has been there for some time now

but those car's aren't street car's. Theres many 9 second STI street car's you just haven't seen them yet because there to busy to be on this web site braging about it.

A lot of the subaru guy's can't get there numbers straight they make 600-800whp but don't have the right gear's in the car or can't drive good enough to get that fast pass. If your going for a drag car just dump the 6 speed and go automatic.

there are more 9 second street driven honda out there then evo's and sti's lol and more 9 second muscle cars then anything.

The car's scenes been getting lame it all comes down to who has the faster car. It's no long about the fun and love for the sport or whatever you want to call it. "Way of life" to some. I think it's getting old I just want a high 9 low 10 second street car I'm not looking to be the fastest one around lol That takes way to much time and money. I don't think I'm that hardcore. lol If I was I'd just build a small block RX7 and call it a day.

Or maybe no one has posted these times yet, I am brand new to the thread, and a older guy who don't like to brag on what numbers, whp, dynos, and 1/4 mile times can do. But you know what, I AM SICK of hearing about evos and what a STI can't do. TUNE IN, this spring or summer when my fullrace twinscroll gt40 is put on my cosworth longblock then we can talk numbers !!!!

for those interested in the build, search for "privately owned and built 800 hp" and you will see his thread with mods.

The APC Evo runs 7's and there are other Mitsubishis in the 7's. You can't count Rigoli and not count cars like Shep's. When Shep first got into the 7's his car was definitely more true to the original street car than the Rigoli 7 second setup.

Has anyone hit 900 whp in a Subaru? I haven't seen it. Mitsu guys have doubled that on the 4g63. Brent Rau is running 80-90 psi on methanol and he's up in that range. I know Magnus tuned another up in that range. Shep was up over 1600.

we are not talking about "stars" and THE highest..we are talking about on average....of course there are going to be shops and well sponsored guys that can do it because the time and money is limitless...but of the everyday or more normal guys how many is in this catagory...ppl have to stop brining the mainstream guys that will always be there and will almost have the fastest and most powerful cars.

I think Rau was around 1100 to the wheels, I think the car was only like 1600-1700 pounds when it dipped into the 6s. Shep was probably making similar power when he went into the 7s. Regardless, I don't think a 4G63 has broken 1600 or even 1200 on a dyno, there was a few EVOs up in the mid 1100s though last season, with AMS being the fastest, quickest, and most powerful in the US. But most of the really fast 4G63s don't spend much time on the dyno and seem to get tuned primarily on the track.

Easy Street was up around the same when they had their PRO-RWD car. They were over 900 in their SRWD car too.

700+ WHP EVOs do seem to be a dime a dozen though where the number of 700+ WHP Suby's in the US can probably be counted on one hand?

Now that is one impressive STi. I loved when you can hear the air being sucked away from the camera's mic and it makes a swirling sound. Great video. Who is he on here?
