Default Audi TT wheels, will they work on my 09 wrx?

I'm trying to find a set of wheels to use for my 09 wrx. I found someone locally selling some alloys that originally came off an Audi TT. They are 16x7 with a 5x100 bolt pattern and I think they are about a 35mm offset. One of my friends was telling me there may be some issue since some Audi/VW wheels aren't hubcentric like ours? And with the stock wheels being 55mm, would the 35mm be ok? It's a great deal on the wheels, but the best deal is worthless if they won't work on my car... Thanks.

Offset is too low. They won't fit. And I'm not sure how big the brakes are on an '09, but the 16" diameter may not even clear the calipers. Find something you KNOW will fit.

the 09's don't have the big red brakes that the 06 and 07 did, so the brakes should be fine i think. can someone confirm this?

Well, it doesn't really matter, since the offset is too low.

for these rims yes, but if i shouldn't bother looking for a 16" wheel at all, that would be good to know too. :-) i just figured 16" for winter since the tires would be cheaper
