on a 93 legacy ss, i installed a the "defi" narrowband afr gauge. just hook up power,ground, dimmer and signal of the o2. it would appear to work ok except- i never see the gauge indicate anything richer than 14/1 and i see it go lean often. by often i mean allmost every time i get off the throttle it reads 16/1 or so. i use a greddy rs bov. vented to the atmosphere. and i had expected to see a little bit of rich as i blow off the metered air?
i had also installed an apexi afc2 and had intended to try and compensate for the bov with. anyone useing an Apex afc2 for anything other than a decoration?
i can use some advice setting the "dec. air" function to prevent stalling.

well you should have seen richer afr's
let say 10:1 at wot under boost. or afr's close to 11:1.
but at lifted throttle you will see afr's leaner
than 14.7:1..

did tune another legacy SS with afc..
limited tuning points but did get the job done.

the narrow band o2 sensor is useless for what your doing ...it will only accurately measure stoimetric

Yep, ignore any 'numbers' on the gauge. If it moves one way when you step on it, then moves the other way when you let up, it's working to the best of it's ability.

yeah i run as much as a bar with the OTB function of the profec and i have the stock vf11 and stock pinks. to my surprise the only time i see the gauge go lean is when i am off the throttle all together. i am now taking a guess that the ecm cuts injectors in that situation. i also notice that despite popular postings i have an aem dryflow cai, snorkus delete but with 3in. aluminum tube not a coffee mug, Saab 900 tmic. on the afc i monitor maf voltage % and it doesn't max out still if boost is set to 1 bar and i shift at 5500. and then you say narrow band is crap and i need a wide band huh? and the setting up of the dec. air function to prevent stalling with atmos.bov?? does anyone know about that?

yup RallyColtTurbo's right u'll need a wideband to read accurately
plus how did u splice the signal wire?

I tapped into the o2 signal wire @the ecu
