Default Anyone Compared Pistons 00-08?

Ok I am working on a new engine to go into my 01 Forester. This will be my daily driver and I want "reliable pep" not a zzyzx type build. Ported heads, Delta Regrinds, Delta Valves, and STi rods are on the agenda as well.

Any way, I was wondering what the differences in stock pistons has been since the 1999 Sohc 2.5 came out. I am pretty sure there are small differences in the combustion chambers starting when the active valve lift came around, and I am wondering what that did to the design of the stock pistons. I do know that the stock pistons of the newer cars have specific left/right part numbers.

Just wondering if anyone has any info to help me and maybe others hopefully.
