Why do people drive with 4 spare-tire-looking-things? I've been seeing it a lot from the summer til now. What is the incentive to have your car look like **** like that.. I can understand one if you have a spare but wtf 4?

what's more emarassing is that that car has audi RS4 replica wheels on it, that's more embarassing than the donut spare ;P

I keep my old tires around just for this. That way when it takes a week to get in, I at least look better. Check the used tire places in a predominantly Latin neighborhood. $10 will make it better. (Under 50mph anyway... After that, the unbalanced rim looks like a salsa dancer!)

A donut can't be too embarrsing, I work in a dress perfessional enviroment and saw a dude in a tie airing his simi-new gt mustang with a bicycle pump! Now that's comedy! I wasn't to snap a pic so bad. Haha

Isnt it bad for the car to roll on the donut that long? I know you dont really have a choice but im just wondering. I figured it to be kind of like the whole 4 tires at once deal, tread has to be the same depth etc.. Doesnt this cause your rear diff to heat up more then usual?

well i have the same size tires and rim as the stockers, and am using the stock spare so i think it should be alright. not to mention i get my 30000 mile service next week and they are going to replace all my fluids to include the rear differential. and im only using it here in town and only when i "need" to go somewhere.
