Default CEL complicated problem...

Hey guys, well a while back I had a CEL that would go on for a day or two... then go off for a day or two. So i took my car in and found out that it was the rear 02 sensor, so i got it replaced and that was the end of the CEL. Now, a few months later I am having the same problem in which the light will go on for some time... then off; etc. Is this something to worry about? Why would my 02 sensor suck so much that a new one would fail only after a few months? thanks.
