Default AKIC Mafia - 50 strong and growing

It seems we all have a mutual interest in cars, finding new members and spreading the gospel. I'm always surprised when someone I don't know approaches me and finds out how nice of people we are. I've also met people that look at me like I am a complete idiot. I usually walk away thinking they just don't know what they are driving. I guess they assume we are a bunch of punks. Don't be surprised if you get "mugged by one of the mafia." I think Ben did it best when he jumped out of his car at a stop light and surprised Mike. I hope no one gets shot. I just wanted to say thanks for helping me get the forum started and keep up the good work. We are 50 strong and growing.

Tusin,

If you're on i-club, then you can be part of the mafia.

We just like to get together and talk cars, and you have a nice damn ride!!

The "mafia" is kind of an inside joke. Who started that anyways?

lol, Yeh I didnt think the Mafia was a serious thing. But ok now I am part of the Mafia, lol. Thanks Kris, for the completment on the car and the Tires, I am stoked, going to get them put on tommrow, let you know how it turns out. Soon I am going to get the Car detailed too, need to find a good shop for that. You want to know somthing funny. When I was calling around trying to find tires, I forget what shop it was, but I told them I needed a Ultra High Performance or Max Performance Tire, told them my size, and they told me about some H-Rated Tires, I told them I would like at least V, and they asked me what I was driving, I told them, and he started laughing. Telling me that I dont need that good of a tire and ****. Then I told him how much Torque I was putting to the ground and his voice kind of changed, but I just hung up. I guess that is part of the life of having a Sport Compact.

Yeh, Kris was telling me that he heard that 4-Motion might be comming out on the Jetta's, dont know about the Golf or NB, next year. They should have made the GTI 337 with 4-Motion, but at least they gave it a 6-Speed. Wonder if Eero will ever get one of those.

Last time I was at the VW dealer up here they told me there was a chance that there would be a 4-motion jetta released in fall of 2002. I do not know if it is actually going to happen but they said there was a chance.

For my Wolfsburg (1.8T), I have a Upsolute 1.0bar Chip, Bailey Diverter Vavle, Enegery Suspension "DogBone" Motor Mounts, Evolution MotorSports Cold Air Intake, I have some Springs sitting here in a Box, lol. And that is about it for right now, Ohhh yeh the White Vinal Eyebrow that adds 40hp , But yeh dude, I cant wait to see some other Vdubbers around here.

You don't need to join the ak i-club. All you need to do is sign up on the board and say hi. This isn't a racing club or breakfast club. This is just a bunch of computer nerds that hang out.

I'm still a V-Dub lubber at heart. I've also heard that the Audi is going to bring over the A3 series and possibly in quattro form.

Blacknight - PM me, I pm'd you, or send me email.

Well I am a Honda owner at heart and sometimes I go to clubsi.com and read through some of the junk. One day I will have an S2000. Mid-life crisis probably.

Maybe an S2000 with the Comptech supercharger would help the torqueless wonder.

I should have just bought the S2K.
