Default What wheel with for a DD?

Gonna be looking for rims soon and I think I am looking for 17in wheels. But here is my question, should I go with 7.5in or 8in wheel. The car is just a DD and doesent see the track. So should I go with 17x7.5? Any "real" difference in getting the extra .5in of tire, besides the tires being more expensive?

Wheels are entirely personal though. You didn't listen what specific wheels you are looking at though.

Example - You may be looking at a comparison between say the 04 STI wheels (which weigh about 15.6 lbs IIRC) and something like the Rota D2's (which weigh in around 21.0 lbs IIRC). Based on weight, then you may be inclined to go with the STI wheels, based on style and looks you may lean towards the Rota's. Which do you end up getting? It all comes down to you.

If you want help though I'd recommend posting up more information about - Price, Style (i.e. looks), Weight, etc of the type of wheels you are looking for and you will probably get a bit more responses.
