I'm going to swap out my 440s on my EJ20G with the DW 650s. The clips are not assembled and I'm not sure if the orientation of the metal clip matters when I crimp the wires and insert into the clip. Any suggestions or pointers would be appreciated. Sorry for the dumb question, I just want to make sure before I put these things together.
Injector / Clip and Hardware ![]() Metal Clip - Does the orientation matter (i.e. which side of the clip faces up or down in the clip - I know which end goes into the clip first, that's kinda obvious) ![]()

you have them backwards in the bottom pic. the flat side goes twards the clip side.
however those clips look just like the 440 clips. try to just plug them in. it might work... -=Suberdave=- |

Thanks for the input. I haven't tried the 650s with my existing clips but it would be great if they fit I didn't have to mess with cutting / splicing.

You can easily depin the stock connector. Take a small peice of wire .030" or so and pop the small clip above the pin. Very easy once you get the hang of it. This is a 2 min operation.
