Thumbs up FS: HOU '00 Legacy Wagon, 5spd, no sunroof

I am searching for a '98-'01 Impreza 2.2 to "rebuild" my slipping autocross career ...will trade for an Impreza L or Impreza Outback Sport in those years with the 2.2L engine and 5spd, don't care about mileage.

I bought the blue 2000 Legacy Wagon with the Phase II 2.5L engine a few months back after we moved to Houston, 193K miles currently...we just drove it from Houston to San Diego CA and back over the Christmas holidays. Usual slight external weep of coolant from the driver's side head gasket, but nothing internal. I have tried a round of uber-expensive HG/block sealer that is non-particulate and non-clogging, it seems to be working in conjunction with the Subaru Coolant Conditioner. I have also done a full treatment of Auto-RX, which is a plant ester-based internal engine cleaner. Fuel mileage is typically 25-28mpg. Interior is really nice, cloth, no rips or tears or funky smells but a stain in the rear passenger footwell. A/C blows ice cold, factory sound system works very well. Glass is perfect. Brand new brake pads and front rotors before the trip in December. AMSOIL Severe Gear 75w-90 synthetic gearbox + diff oils, no noises, no crunches, no whines. Two new 205/60-15 tires up front on factory steel wheels and new snap-on covers from Subaru. I also have a set of WRX wheels and tires that may be included also if the price is right. New alarm key fob from Subaru, two keys. Subaru factory roof rack and cross bars (removable). Valvoline Synpower synthetic oil. New spark plugs, fuel filter, PCV valve, and air filter.

Now for the not-so-greats: bought the car at a great price because it needs the hood repaired or replaced (slight nose-in with a car or object at low speed), as well as a dent pulled out of the front passenger-side fender. Hoods are cheap but shipping is not, I may just have it repaired locally and resprayed, and the ding pulled out. There was a break-in attempt and the passenger keyhole in the front door was damaged, but I just use the Remote Control keyfob instead of the key...driver side is unharmed. Also, the shifter bushings are very wonky, I recommend the Kartboy ones for $60/set...may be done before, but no promises. Also, the rear diff bushings are shot, and sometimes clunk if you shift or back up aggressively. Can be filled with 3M Window Weld (liquid urethane) for $15, which I may end up doing before selling (I didn't do it in case I wanted to autocross the car, which would have affected its classing). May need a timing belt set, not sure of the full maintenance history but it appears that it had been cared for-- when I did the gearbox/diff oil changes there were no shavings, etc. so service seemed to have been performed.

Even with miles and hood damage, KBB value is quite high for the car (for some reason the KBB site is not working for me at the moment, will edit later). I am asking $3,500.

With the WRX wheels --

Thanks! Tell your friends I'll post some more pics of the interior, etc. later today when I get back from work.

EDIT-- perfect candidate for that light(er)-weight package for those twin-turbo Legacy engines that JHot Imports has on eBay, lord knows I've been tempted

Car may have K-Sport Kontrol Pro coilovers on it by tomorrow, single-adjustable monotube dampers...not sure on the spring rate. Used. Would be awesome with the twin-turbo engine

EDIT-- so I tried to install them today, but it looks like they are actually for an '05+ Legacy and not '00-'04...difference is the hole spacing on the camber plate/upper mount....I may find a machine shop and have them just move the studs off the camber plate 1/4" to make them work. Rears fit fine though. Bummer.
