Default Nice '07 Sti with FP HTA86 Turbo - 603 whp pump & meth

This is a project we have been working on for some time which is nearing completeion

Its George's old 07 STI which he traded in for his '08 bought by one of our customers who wanted to turn up the wick and make some great power

Here is what we have done to the car to date

Dyno Flash built short block with cosworth low compression pistions , cosworth rods, cosworth bearings and cosworth oil pumps

Cosworth cams and mild head porting / clean up

Magnus intake manifold

Perrin Gt35 turbo kit wrapped and coasted with FP HTA86 turbo upgrade

Perrin 3 " Turbo back exhuast

APS Dr725 FMIC

P & L Injector and regulator kit

Aquamist HFS 1 meth injection - one nozzel

ONE walbro fuel pump - NEEDS a Buschur Double Pumper

Exedy twin disc clutch

Today in tuning we found that we were running out of fuel flow at around 580 whp or so and we made one run at 603 whp - starting to go lean

I am going to suggest the Buschur double pumper fuel pump and a second alcohol nozzel for this car to the customer. I feel it can be a 620 - 630 whp car on pump gas and meth with 28 -29 psi.

Yes I have them in stock - think the 62/62 would be a great turbo for a Subaru

Those are 1,000 cc injectors with 45 static fuel pressure

The single walbro can not supply enough pressure through the factory line at high boost

A Buschur double pumper conversion would be the ticket for solving the fuel supply needs, however, the customer has decided to take the car the way it is so that means it will leave with around 560 whp on pump and meth to be safe

Hey Al. Get rid of that #2 pencil eraser Filter.. I found that past 550whp that thing will suck the foam closed around the internal Frame! Swapped to a Blitz and the car picked up 20whp.

Yes sir Mr Clark! I have seen the same.

With my STI on the same turbo I picked up nearly 60 whp by removing the filter (at a higher boost level)

Those turbos like to breath !

Nice work! I think the 62/62 would be a great subaru turbo as well. I wonder what turbo would perform better overall tho? HTA 3586R or the PT62/62?

They are very close - both great turbos

We did an Evo with the FS635 which mad 706 whp on pump and meth and an evo with the 62/62 which made 720 on pump and meth

Without back to back testing on the same car with the same mods and tune it would be impossible to pick a winner

Main thing is that they are all great turbos

I am running the HTA 86 on my personal STI if that is any indication of which one I like better and the HTA 88 on my Evo

Thanks for the insight Al...very tru. I am leaning towards the HTA86 anyway since all I have to do is send in my 35R to FP for the upgrade.
