Just dyno'd my '04 4EAT WRX Wagon today, and was curious if the #s are in line with expectations.

K&N Typhoon short-ram intake, Helix UP, Helix DP with cat, Greddy Evo 2 CBE; everything else completely stock power-wise. It was road-tuned via open source last week. Car has 70.5k miles on 92 octane.

It put down 211.xx HP and between 198-201 for TQ UNCORRECTED (56 degrees F, 51% Humidity) on a DYNOJET 424xLC2. I believe SAE correction yielded 200 HP, but I don't recall the TQ. Once I get the .drf files, I'll confirm.

I believe the final runs were done in 2nd gear.

I assume I'm where I should be?

That is about right being you're running 92 octane and have a 3" TBE. Of course the Dynojet is inflating the numbers a bit. Do you have the graph so we can see your curves?

For that pint size turbo he needs to start logging data before 3500 RPM on the dyno pull.

For reference, here is what a stock 05 WRX wagon 5MT ran on the same dyno.

Decent numbers. In my experience 4EATs are generally faster than their dyno #s would indicate. Torque converters and dyno's sometimes produce weird results.

Also guys, I forgot to mention that on a pull Harvey did at the end when the car sat for a while and cooled down I got 200whp/210wtq.

We went with the 191.3whp/200wtq numbers because they are more indicative of daily driving conditions.

that sounds pretty reasonable. do you recall your peak psi? you may be able to eek another 20-30ft-lbs and maybe +10hp, i'm at 7200 ft and am making the same power you are, so there is a little bit on the table.

I believe it was a little over 15 psi. Harvey did leave a little on the table. He wanted a safe tune and I was more then happy with that.

My car was doing some weird stuff at first and ran lean and had a little detonation on one pull so at this point I just want a tune that gets me some decent power and is healthy for my car.

Like one of the previous posters said Autos read funny on dynos and are probably faster then thier number indicate. It would not surprise me at all is my car has more power then my graphs show.

Here's a dyno graph from several years ago, back when I had a Stage 2 setup (IIRC). You can see the weird torque spike at the start of the pull; that's the torque converter.

your car put down some nice numbers yesterday, Matt is the man! We road tuned my car back in the summer and I couldn't be happier. I wanted to get on the dyno, but I am waiting for my boost control to get here.

Dcups Saabaru put down some sweet numbers as well!
