Default Can i use this as a MAF cleaner?

Anyone heard of VOLTRONIC M60 universal cleaner? It says its alright to be used as a brake cleaner, engine cleaner, grease removal bla bla... prob its...can i use it as a MAF sensor cleaner? Its stated as its able but i wanna be sure....

Unless it is specifically labeled as safe to use on a MAF I wouldn't. Given what a new MAF costs and how easy it is to damage one by using the wrong cleaner, you should use only the proper stuff. Here in the US the most commonly available one is the CRC brand.

I've used brake cleaner many times with good results too.

napa or carquest carries "MAF Sensor cleaner" in a can for 6 bucks. Works great!

the OP is in singapore

doubt there are any napa or carquest stores there

rubbing alcohol(iso) in a plastic bag...put MAF in bag.....seal bag...shake gently for a minute.....remove MAF and let air dry....reinstall

^^^ yah using some kind of electronics cleaner or cleaner (alcohol) that leaves no residue since leaving a residue that conducts would obviously cause a short.
