and i am not talking about the usual i am real pissed off i mean really pissed..

you all remeber the "phase 2" shortblock i purchased to use for my turbo built motor well with treys guidance i discovered that it is in fact a phase 1 and worth nothing to me. i can't believe it
edited to add this
well i guess out of all this **** i just got some good new after my tech session with trey i opened my hood and i have a phase2 in my car so the motor i bought to replace my old motor is older than my old one....

Biil, your going to be the N/A King! Cool.
Sorry to hear things are not working out in the JC Sports GB, and about the bad purchase of the Phase 1 block. Welcome to the crummy world of aftermarket performance.
A friend of mine had 440RT heads redone on his '69 Charger. The machine shop tried to give him back heads of a 440 motor out of a motor home! Good thing he wrote the numbers down.

There is a slight possibility that I may have a use for it. If you have a chance to get rid of it, do it. At a later point, and you still have it, I may take you up on the offer.

see the hard part is that i want the turbo, i can make plenty of power with treys help without the turo but it will be delivered in a very different way. with the turbo and my boost controller i will be at 5psi by 2krpm instead of the sweet spot at 4600 rpm with the n/a set up
so hopefully the turbo will come and it will fit with my oil cooler.... what do you guys think?

I think you should look at www.rallispec.com,
and give them a call about making a kit for you.

Get out of the JC sports thing while you can.

josh i am pissed about getting ripped but real happy about what i have had in my car all along. this all came about because i have been thinking of pulling out of the turbo buy so i waas talking to trey about my options for getting faster without positive manifold pressure and i think i am going to go with him because he has always been great to me in the past.

So get the heads and the engine running without boost (I am confused if you are going to do both, or decide between boost or Trey).

If you are going to decide between Boost or Trey, that is a tough call, since Trey is can have the stuff done fast.
But what ever happened to the N/A setup not being cost effective? No matter how fast you get the N/A stuff done, are you going to be happy when Wayne and Edwin blow the little red doors off your car? I could not spend any money on N/A mods if the car was not going to be up to my expectations. I just hope you don't make the quick decision and are disappointed later. These type of things take time, especially if you want good results. Personally I think the JC Sports GB is a joke (why I did not get into it) because I want customer service if I am doing a modification as involved as a turbo.
I think you should take a step back, think about what you really want your car to be capable of first. Do not do the N/A thing if you won't be happy. Maybe do a N/A setup for a turbo, so you can add it later?
I think calling Rallispec and speaking with Andy is a good idea. Tell him your requirments (time, etc.). He wont tell you they can get it done if they can't. It is worth a phone call at least.
First things first though, get your money back from JC Sports before you start dealing with anyone else.
What is the rush anyway? It is winter? Is the hoel in your pocket getting too big?
You can send me some money and I'll spend it.

Good luck,
Paul G.

He has to decide which way he's gonna go before he builds the motor. Cause if he's going turbo, he will probably build it with 8.5:1 compression, and if he builds it to be N/A, he will run closer to 10.5:1 compression.

Yeah me too, JC Sports filled us GB in today so I am just curious if you will still be in on it.

Don't forget this option; Rallispec has low compression pistons, and even with a shaved head at 10.5:1 compression the lower compression pistons will bring the compression down to high 8s or low 9s.
