Unhappy CEL and Oxygen Sensor Woes....

SO, for the past year and a half I've had the check engine light on in my 2004 Legacy Wagon 35th anniversary edition for the oxygen sensor. I have put a flow through muffler and cut out the resonator on the car. I've had the damn 02 sensors replaced 4 times now and it keeps coming on. I should mention its been different sensors a few times, so I think i have 4/5 sensors that are fairly new. Now that I'm out of my warranty, I don't want to have to pay the $150/per to buy new ones. I saw the Work around using the Spark plug anti-foulers and thought I'd give it a shot thinking it was maybe just the 5th emissions o2 sensor right after the main cat. I was wrong, I had the codes pulled again today and erased which worked for all of 2 miles. The code being popped is the p1034, bank 1 sensor 1. Can anyone give me an idea how to get this fixed? if this just an emissions 02 sensor then I may just go and get the 02 simulator to plug in, but I want to keep the cost down. I just want my Crusie control back on my 5-speed. Its getting a bit aggrevating not to have it available when I want it.

if you have a multi meter check and see if your getting current from your wires your o2 potentially could be fine and you have a frayed wire or loose connection or something more evil.

o2 at napa is like $75 ish

My front o2 sensor just went also. My car runs like crap and all you can smell is gas when I start it.

Default weird

that's just the thing, it still runs fine! no overly gas smell, so shuddering or anything like that. That's why is so irritating. But yea I'll check the reading out of the 02 sensor and see what I get. Whats the average output? and I'm checking the white and black leads if i remember correctly. that or the black to ground?

BTW, no I don't drive while on the phone unless its on speakerphone. I just hate driving from Norfolk VA to Jacksonville NC on back roads. My friggin calfs start to hurt after 4 hours of my foot being in the exact same position. and yes i ment to put p0134, thnx for the correction.
