Announcement about Super GT campaign for 2009 season
Carrosser co., ltd announced that its motorsport works team, CUSCO RACING adjourns competing Super GT series from 2009. Therefore the team is focusing on rally activities, origin of motorsport development and research of Carrosser.

The team started GT series activities in 1997 with retirement on its debutant race at Sugo which was final round of the season of the series. After then, team had been continuing the attendance to this series with many of support from number of people.
The team always tried making challenge and sharpened its technique during this eleven years.
The team had been able to always happy to attending this GT series because just we had been supported by many people. It’s so much appreciated.
We bless for those supporting.

We had so many cheers from fan of Cusco, Subaru. Also we had been favored with great drivers such as Katsuo Kobayashi, Naohiro Furuya, Hideyuki Tamamoto, Tatsuya Tanigawa, Yasushi Kikuchi, Tetsuya Yamano, Takayuki Aoki, Kouta Sasaki and Carlo Van dam. We also appreciate support from Fuji Heavy Industries (FHI), Subaru Technica International (STI), Yokohama Rubber, Sumitomo Rubber, Exedy, Tee’s and many more. Additionally we are regarding that the attending the GT series is massive history of the eleven
years which had been built by mobilization of team member’s sprit and effort based on passion and cooperation from every each of Carrosser.

We are sorry that we are not able to show Cusco GT machine on circuit for a while. However,
as the late president of Carrosser, Mr.Kase said, “Creating real products with convert own theory and techniques to actual shape and try them on motorsport competition”, we are looking at next target for development and challenge it.

Still our passion and hope growth of Super GT series with many of fans doesn’t change, and will continue support from other aspects.

Lastly, we would like to emphasize that we are going to keep development of products for fan driving many vehicles such as Impreza or Legacy. Please keep in touch as same as to this day.

Toshio Omizo
President and C.E.O of Carrosser co.ltd.
Well, it's been fun, but now without Subaru out of the WRC and Super GT, its just not going to be fun to be a subaru motorsports fan anymore.

Lets hope at least the HPI or Fujitsubo Super Taikyu teams still remains...

The US racing and time attack efforts are enough to keep me psyched. GST, TopSpeed, Goto, Phoenix.... Somehow I doubt anyone on the Tomei/Cusco team will ever post here, but I still love that car, too. I'm sure Crawford will keep making ridiculous press releases for us to laugh at, too.

+3.. some how i think if tomei/cusco did post here.. they would get alot of crap, since japanese tuning theories seem really different then most of US teams.

When talking to them at PRI they didn't seem like they were going to do many races here in the states with the STI. Seems the economy and ebay knock offs are hurting them quite a bit.
