Going on business, so Saturday/Sunday are stacked until 5pm both days.
Im staying here: http://www.google.com/maps?f=q&sourc...,0.014613&z=16 I wont have a car, so anything thats not within walking distance (i.e. drunken stumbling distance) is out. Suggestions?

DON'T GO TO BOURBON!!! Total waste of time. Frenchman St. is where its at(all the best blues clubs), hit up:
DBA, Cafe Brasil, Blue Nile, Spotted Cat, Snug harbor, Dragons Den, the apple barrel. Go eat at la peniche, like a block off of frenchman on dauphine st. If you need anything while you're down here let me know. edit: Again DON"T GO TO BOURBON. Nothing to see there, locals consider it to be a big joke. And I work like 3 blocks from where you're staying. |

I mean there really is alot to do down here. If your girl is interested in shopping, Royal st. has alot of nice little boutiques. At the end of canal you have the shops at canal place (where Im at) SaxFifth, Coach, BCBG, Kenneth Cole, its all there. Night life should be kept to frenchman though, you'll thank me for it. Haunted History Tours "ghost tour" is the best tour to take in the city. I know the owner I could get you a discount if needed. Basically try to spend your money as local as possible though. There are alot of corporate restrictions in the french quarter, so its mostly independently owned business, thats where you'll find your best shopping. Its gonna be too cold for any good swamp tours. Don't go to any of the cemetaries located along St.Claude alone. These are really dangerous neighborhoods, and you don't wanna get capped by a 14yr old wielding a tek9. They do offer walking cemetary tours, which are in large groups. These are really educational and a whole lot safer. |

If thats the case
![]() A. Depending on how hard you party, we might have to hook up while your down here. B. If your looking for something like splatZ400 said, then I can send you in multiple directions. You have several of "those" places within walking distance. C. Our bars never close, you can drink in the streets, if you're not careful-these can be the ingredients for some dangerous fun. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

I have never considered getting a frickin burger in NOLA. If I want that I go to Dyers in Memphis and use the same grease since 1913. So many epicurean delights and you recommend a fast food joint that doesn't even serve fries?
