Thumbs up mother's clay bar paint saving system!!

apologies if this is posted in the wrong forum. wanted to do a review of this, but the finish forum is for questions. anyways...

over the course of driving my wrx for the past year, indeed less than that, i've noticed lots of little surface anomalies on the paint. i got fed up w/ 'em and finally bought mother's clay bar paint saving system after hearing so much about it. well, this past weekend, i started applying some after washing my car. while i'm not done, for the parts that i have done already, i've got nothing but praise for the system!!! the rear bumper just had LOTS of sap particles. there were also tar specs on the side panels and elsewhere. tho it took some work, i was able to get most of it off. the stuff that i wasn't able to get off was due to lack of sunlight. u can't take off what u can't see, right?

ok, 2 caveats. do NOT do this in warm weather, even in the shade. the finish included is used as a lubricant for the clay bar. that stuff evaporates QUICKLY in warm weather. this was in the shade as well. granted my car was already somewhat warm to the touch, but this was due to the ambient temperature. regardless, the clay bar took most of the particles off w/ little fanfare. some of them were particularly stubborn tho, so they required multiple spray, scrub, wipe, repeat rotations. the other caveat is that i've been afraid that the particles embedded in the clay bar will scratch the surface of the paint. i wasn't sure if the scratches were there already or not, but after initial use, i noticed scratches. this brings me to a point about the bar. does anyone know if it will actually promote scratching? seems to me even if the particles are suspended in the bar, the ones on the surface initially will come up and thus scratch the paint.

anyways, given that it took off the little particle buggers, i'm quite satisfied. hopefully a good 2 coatings of wax will help rid the car of the annoying scratches. product is recommended in spite of caveats. leaves the paint feeling literally like new.
