Very interesting info in that PDF. Interesting to see the effects of cooling when the airflow is properly directed. Also interesting to see the efficiency of the 08 STi TMIC vs the GD TMIC.

I think you are mistaken.
The 08 STi intercooler had a much larger temperature drop. It works much better. I think it's probably a combination of the new style scoop and larger intercooler.
