Default Polishing painted panels made of composite materials?

Just a quick question, I was wondering if polishing a panel made of something other then steel would make a difference? Does the substrate make a huge difference on what is needed to do to polish?

Thanks!

Not really but, metal gets hotter then fiberglass and CF so your technique may need to change a bit to work out some tougher defects as I believe the heat generated helps in the polishing process. Probably not a big deal...
