Drakar- yea i love it, its a great motor, makes good power. however...if/when this goes while i have the car i think next time ill just go the 2.5 route, jus for more power potential. but i love the fact that the block is closed deck tho, allows for more boost to be run with less worry.

pope_face- yea i agree it does look pretty good with those pipes, but even if yours arent chrome it can still look good. a nice coat of black paint on em can make them look better, and thats not the only option. even though mine are nice chrome im thinking of possibly wrapping them. im gonna reasearch it to see if its beneficial. if its not i wont, but if so i will, and i think it will still look pretty good with wrap on em.
Ive got a 02 rs hood that would work perfect for you
looks hella sleeper

nice lookin bug!

Soundsgood used this stuff:

I think it was 16 sheets (12"x24") 1.5mm & 7 sheets (12"x24") 3.0mm adhesive mat.
The insides of the door panels is covered with acoustic carpet material.

I am guessing but probably 30lbs+ of material.
which materials did they use for which parts of the car?

Did they install it and did you do yourself? and how much did it cost?

I wanna do the same thing!!

I'm not keen on angled for the hell of it, but I like it if it serves a purpose... I don't like to take my eyes off the road for too long to check gauges, so if all your temp/vacuum/boost/whatever gauges are set so the needles point up under normal driving conditions, then it's easy to tell when something's off...
This is a fast pic taken today on our cruise. The picture was not taken from the drivers perspective but it can give you an idea of what the needles look like.

FIDS: Pretty close to what I was getting at... Personally, I'd tweak the temp gauge a little to the right and the pressure gauge to the left (so the needles are actually straight), but it looks pretty good when the car's going.

Since I decided to move the touchscreen to the top of my dash, I was left with a big open space where my old HU used to be.

So I started more cutting today to house my boost gauge. And maybe a few more down the road.

My latest creation. GC headlights are surprisingly deep but kind of narrow though.

I'll let the new owner post the installed pics

E46 projectors are probably not the best option. If I remember correctly those are lowbeam only? And the front if pretty open so you will have to provide adequate shielding against stray lights.

I think the projectors are molded to the inner housing?

Nice, I guess the GR tail lights aren't sealed the same way as the GD's? I'd have to cut open my taillight to paint it...

The clear plastic parts had to be cut right off? They aren't a separate piece from the housing?

Did you consider gloss red instead?

its all glued together unlike the headlights.
I did consider red, but seeing that its not much different than the overlays I had, I decided to go black.
No light output is blocked, but we'll see how out fairs with Vancouver cops. Lol
