I think slowguy picked up a set of Enkei RPF-1's 18x9.5 if I recall from last time I saw him.

I was also doing some work on the old car, trying to figure out what I can fit under the wheel wells.

Here is a pic of 15x8, with a 4.5" backspace . With a 235/50 I have 2" of room before hitting the fender, and 1.5" before hitting the frame. And this is before rolling in the rear.

It made me chuckle a bit as I realized that an 18x10 would fit without modifications.

That would be a bit crazy, and expensive, so instead I'm thinking 17x10 in the rear with 275/50, and 17x9 in the front with 245/45.

The wheels I've narrowed it down to are the Foose Nitrous II

or maybe a Billet Apex G

I'm not committed to any particular wheel yet though. There are a lot of choices outside of Torq Thrusts.

Halibrands Steve! My dad is running them on his '32, classic wheel and they'll do custom sizes

I do like those Billet Apex G's though!

Better than the last bronze-ish colour?

Looks like someone knocked off someone else's design.

Those Halibrands are super nice, and they'll make them in a larger size like a 17". But they are pricey wheels. Similar in cost to the Billet Specialties, which are already more than a set of Volk RE30's.

It's tough having two projects on the go, so let's try to keep the price down to around $300/corner, or else you'll see me rolling on crazy wheels, with Nankang tires. That's enough to get me beat at a rod show.

Much better.
I think that the gold could be a winner.

haha, you don't know the half of it. So many styles in the rod world are the same as the other. It's like everyone started knocking off Cragar's, until the design evolved into these.

Yeah my dad took like 10 years to decide on the Halibrands after seeing so many rods on Real Wheels knockoffs. The demand for "cheap" Halibrands got so high that the prices of Real Wheels skyrocketed to almost Halibrand prices....so he bought the real deal They cost a little more than $300/corner though

As for my wheels, I'm liking the gold too You can get BBS gold spray paint in a can from Grimspeed now, hence my photoshops.

slowguy, silver is getting boring to me

Gunmetal or black looks a lot better than the gold.

No way, white is way too hard to keep clean. Look how many spokes there are!

I like the black also. Would look killer with painted calipers, even stock ones.

Those foose wheels look awfully similar to the American Racing Torq Thrust

I just realized they looked a lot like the wheels I have on my old Camaro in Forza 2
