Yup. I was thinking of legacy stuff... 94 and prior legacy and older EA series stuff all have female axles. Imprezas all use male axles in the rear. Good ref:

Zefy: Thanks for that link... By the looks of it, I have the early/non-LSD 22-spline rear axles. They look similar to the ones in the first picture, and the diff has the "flower" with a single bolt, not the five bolts shown in some of the later pictures. Not sure if that's a good thing or bad thing though...

Installed a set of tanabe df210's last week cause of this!

the old eibach pro kits that were in there when i bought the car snapped on me recently and i didnt even know about it!

Heres how it turned out. The df210's give a pretty decent drop and i find handles way better than the old pro kits

And I thought I was the only one with the VIC sticker instead of the "Vancouver Subaru Club" one.

^ Is it a big difference? It's on my wish list but not sure if I should bump it to the top or wait and do other mods first...

I just did mine today too!

Not a hugely noticeable difference until you are really into the pedal. Wouldn't think it needs to be a top of the list mod. But that being said it took me 15min to put it in so why not right...

Front struts are finally in!

Big jump though... I'm now sitting right about 16 1/2" from hub to the top of the wheel well in the rear, and about 18" in the front. I've got stock '99 Forester L struts and springs in the rear, and the stock '99 Forester L struts with '04 FXT springs in the front. Hopefully it comes down a bit in the front, otherwise I may have to swap back to the Forester L springs so I don't destroy my axles too quickly.

5x114.3, brake master cylinder brace and new wheels going in next

Work Rezax Roar, 17x8 +45mm, should just clear my brakes
