I was really surprised at this power... I'd consider these numbers stellar for a catless car, not two mention two cats! I was honestly expecting it to be in the 260-265whp range.

Ed,

Can you explain why the hp is peaking at redline?

Conservative boost with a stock bcs?

the cats?

just seems out of the ordinary....as i've seen 18g's, 20g's, and even my HTA Green peak before redline...

just curious

thanks

I think it mostly has to do with the 91 Octane out here. Some cars take good timing up top and end up carrying the power through well and others don't. This car was running about 19psi peak and holding boost very well. I also ran it a bit richer up top which allowed a more aggressive ramp up of timing and helped increase power to redline.

pretty nice man, those vf43s are looking to be good.

To put your #'s into perspective.... on my 03, when I had a vf30 + tmic + ****ty exhaust I only did 235whp when Ed tuned it. Then with a more open exhaust and 96 octane, mind you 96 octane I only put down 275whp (dialed back from 285whp). There was another vf30 bugeye w/ FMIC that put down 275whp

So yeah. Your numbers are quite a lot of power on the 2.0

Yea, I was hoping for 270whp because of the 2 cats, Ed was expecting less. I'm debatin if I want to get EWG for it and try to get closer to or to 300whp

You can't use your old numbers as an example.... you had that tiny pea-shooter exhaust at the time
