maybe look for bankruptcy work. They need folks who can handle/track financial-type accounts, but can't really hire from the finance world because of 'appearances'. My daughter (who used to work medical ins. accts.) works in that biz and said folks complain when they call and their rep used to work at Wells Fargo and they feel Wells Fargo is the reason they're bankrupt!

EDIT: this is how my daughter explained it;

******Each Trustee office is independent, but they should be able to look a list of all the offices at the US Trustee's site, which is at www.justice.gov/ust. The "employment opportunities" link there is only going to be for the agency gov jobs, he would want to look up the office(s) located around san antonio and directly contact them to see if they are hiring. ******

It's basic customer service and data entry. It's not a typical call center in the sense that you don't have to sell anything or argue about bills. You would be doing interviews with people trying to file a disability claim. It's very chill for a corporate environment and our office is conveniently located at the Dallas North Tollroad and George Bush.

- Monday-Friday and occasional optional
Saturday half days

-Schedule would most likely be 9am-6pm or 10am to 7pm

-Customer Service experience is preferred

-13.50 hour with regularly available overtime

-Spanish speaking a plus but by no means required

Also, for you guys that have 4 year degrees we are hiring claim managers....pay starts in the 40k range

PM me if your interested
Bump

I have at least 4 more slots

Default Need a 1 day job near Houston?

My brother has an auto detailing shop south of Houston (77510) and he is looking for some help for tomorrow only. He's looking for someone to help out from 7:30am - 4pm (ish) for $8 per hour. If you need some quick cash, you can call Josh at 832-472-6998.

I am currently looking for employment in the DFW area. Southern DFW (Arlington) is preferred but willing to commute for the right opportunity.

I have a BS in Mechanical Engineering and for the past few years have worked primarily in solid 3D modeling using mostly Pro/Engineer (Wildfire 4.0). I also have used SolidWorks but am not as skilled with it as I am in Pro/E.

Let me know if any of you know of anything!

let me know when you guys are hiring again.

hope to have something by then but so far nothing has panned out...my best option at this point is 2 jobs, a day and a night and work on pools when I can fit it in.

We have 3-4 positions open in Austin(the aforementioned Time Warner, lol) in the West Network Operations center for Network Analysts. We handle Cell Tower backhaul for Texas, CA, HI, MO, KS, and more of the Midwest soon.

To be considered, you should have some layer 2 and 3 experience, and/or network certifications like Network +, CCNA, JNCIA, etc. Prior experience with Trouble ticketing systems like REMEDY would be a plus as well.

This group has grown from around 10 when I was hired 5 years ago, to the current 35ish we have now.

The work is interesting and involves both monitoring, break/fix, and provisioning in Alcatel, Cisco, Juniper, and other types of networking gear.

With a CCNA, you could expect to earn right around the national average for a CCNA with a fairly small amount of overtime. 24/7, with three 8 hour shifts. Slots are mostly open on 3rd shift(11pm-7am)

Check the careers page for Time Warner Cable and search Austin. I think they are listed as RNOC analysts.

My company has two IP networking jobs, one for a customer install engineer and one for a NOC technician open and another for a Security and Abuse advocate in Dallas. I can't get you an interview but you can apply at: https://ntta.ats.hrsmart.com/cgi-bin...jobs_quick.cgi. Select Dallas, TX and you'll see them. I'm going on thirteen years there and love it; great people, fair compensation and benefits, and you'll be working on one of the world's largest IP backbones. A full description and list of requirements are available at the link above.

If you apply be prepared for an in depth technical interview and good luck!
