Default Project Wagon - It has begun!

Here's some pics of my Project wagon.

Currently it has homemade clear corners, debadged, MY00 RS wheels with Falken Azenis, sits on Stock MY00 RS suspension, and some minor ICE.

Soon it will be more than I can image

Thumbs up

Nice start Jon!!!

It looks more agressive even with only the stock RS suspension and Azenis tyres.

Take a pic from the side and front.

I have other pics, but they are too big to attach, so I have yet to take the time to re-size it. Sorry guys. Give me a few seconds.

BTW this pic was taken at the grand opening for Midamerica Motorplex (MAM).

I'll try and get more pics up soon.

Oh and well.. if you can get the hitch off the car, I'd consider selling it to you It's rusted on there good. We got the retainer pin out, but that's about it.

"It's a start" - That's true, right now all mods are limited to free ones (so to speak) as I'm getting married a week from this Friday (April 12th) and am saving for mods. I've got a set for stock WRX front brakes coming and I'm still digging around for a MY00-01 RS rear end with axles and knuckles to put in there. Need more brakes and well, won't put the fronts on until I have rears (bias issues w/ drums on the rear). I then plan to get some coilovers.. (Steve??).. After that it's buy a motor and start building. If I can't get the coilovers as planned (soon) I might just get the motor and live with it as it is now (handling) and focus on the re-build of internals.

Thanks - Jon

Looks good, Jon! I am refraining from posting pics of my little project wagon until I get a chance to throw the new wheels on, it has been snowing a little here the past couple of days. Looking good, though. What coilovers are you going for?

Sweet, and IMO that is the best color combination I've seen on an OBS.

Thanks guys... more pics coming soon.

As for coilovers... I've got a few on my list one is good, but might need rebuilt more than I'd like (DMS), the other is nice and I've riden/seen them in person, but they may be a bit stiff for me (CUSCO) and the other is a not so widely used brand of coilovers, but comes with lots of adjustments and you pick your spring rates (Buddy Club). I'll let you guys know what I choose.

Jon, I know where you can score a replica OEM roof spoiler (NOT STi) for $99. The place is here in MI. I have one, it looks good.

Looks good, man.

Hey, that looks like a good deal. I'd love to get one for my car, but it says its mounted with adhesive? How well does that stay on?

I'm looking at the one from 4subaruparts.com as it's an aftermarket MRT one that is just a tad bit more than this one $154 but looks better and mounts with the stock hardware and some addtional adhesive.

Won't likely do any spoilers until it's ready for some re-painting
Will be tinting the windows and that will be it for cosmetic until all the important stuff is done power/handling.

Yeah, Jon, isn't the MRT one a replica STi wagon spoiler? It looks really cool.

wagman, I mounted mine with adhesive, I got the idea from the MRT website, like Jon mentioned. They recommend SikaFlex, which is simply a windshield adhesive, like they would use to attach your windshield to the car. I just trotted on down to the local windshield repair place and bought a tube of adhesive. Worked like a charm.
