This car has been around the block a few times, customer changes his mind and combo quite a bit. This time he opted for the APS TS70 kit in favor over his old SBR GT35R stock fit turbo setup.

The car was built and Tuned @ XXTuning 2 years ago by the guys who now run EFI Logics, so logically the customer brought the car to us to continue the work on it.

The combo is:

Custom Design Engines Fully Built Shortblock
Custom Design Ported/Polished Heads
Cosworth 272 Cams
APS TS70
Tial 46mm External Gate
ProDrive Boost Solenoid (ECU Boost control)
Tial BOV
EFI Logics Custom Fuel Rails (for sale soon)
PE 850cc Injectors
APS DR725 FMIC
APS 83mm Intake
APS 3.5" Exhaust
SMC Meth Injection
93 Octane Fuel
Tuned with Cobb AP V2
Setrab Oil Cooler

On the old combo and Turbo, the car made 535whp and 450wtq on the slightly optimistic Dynapak on pure C16 Race gas. The customer wanted something a little more friendly on the wallet, so we ditched the race gas and installed the SMC kit.

The results are 554whp and 501wtq on 93 Octane and Methano, car was wound out to 7600rpm. Stock STi on our dyno reads 218-225, that may help with perspective. MAF Resolution on the APS Intake is surprisingly well, and only topping around 4.85v, so we could probably push it a little hard with some 100 Octane.

You can see this run, and others on our Dyno Database

More pictures of the car can be found on our Gallery

Looks sweet, I bet Jeff is stoked as hell. He really liked the SBR 35R so rthis move must have him on cloud nine.

Great work as always guys.

that car is off the hook and those are some INSANE numbers for that mustang dyno...that guy is going to have some serious traction problems on the drag strip, that power is early and strong ~300whp by ~4000rpm ~540whp by ~5500

props!

Can anyone chime in on what kind of investment it would take to turn a stock STi into this?

i dont understand ...the ts70 is a twin scroll turbo so why the single scroll/single wastegate setup on it? I was under the impression that seperating the flow of gas through the mani to uppipe and into hot side which has a split for the TS uppipe? I see it all the time so there must be a logical explaination.. but i just dont see it.. obviously the problem isnt money.

Seems like a sick setup though. I wish they would release the ts56 or whatever they were developing

XX tuning has done domestic work in the past correct? Is the guy who tuned this car the same one that tuned domestics at XX?

Correct, that is me. Jack was the lead mechanic and I was the tuner for XX. We both left back in October when XX was sold to a new owner, that's how EFI Logics started.

We still do all the same work XX did and more, we also have all the race teams as well.

I'm not going to quote what the customer spent on this build, but, I can tell you he spent quite a bit of money over the last few years.

You never did a baseline on the efi dyno before the setup was change? What amount of boost was used on the old setup?

The car was on a flat bed when it arrived, the customer tried to do the install of the turbo kit himself, along with the APS TGV Delete, needless to say, we finished the job.. So no baseline, sorry.
