Default swap is done but...

hey nasioc i need your help
my friend did a ej20g swap for me
although there is still a bit of work to be done
(gauges, and what not)
theres one really big problem thats a nuisance
the car idles fine, hell it is drivable
but when the turbo starts to spool,
i get a kickback and the car kind of bounces
friend said it might be his wiring, the crankshaft sensor
or the ecu
i truthfully have no idea
i dont know too much about cars, but if you guys can troubleshoot for me
that would be great
thanks in advance!

is your check engine light on ?
what is the blink code

very unlikely the crank sensor .. or it would never start

first guess is the maf or maf wireing ..
second is a ground for the 2 wire temp sensor

my guess is you havent hooked all the wiring up to the IP cluster. therefor your ECU has no input form the VSS. whenever you get to about 2500RPM it cuts fuel.

get that taken care of and all will be well...

i can pass 2500 fine
if i dont get under boost
and just lightly push the throttle
it can go up to 4k

Check your coilpacks, I had a nearly identical problem, turns out coilpacks were all cracked. When ever it started to build boost, it would misfire like crazy (so it would buck like mad).

I'm with Dave. Something is wrong with your speed sensor signal, and it's putting your ECU in severe limp mode.

sounds like you are hitting fuel cut... for some reason or another. Could be a sensor, but check for loose i.c hose also.

If your gauge cluster is not hooked up, that will do it. I had the speed sensor CEL and I thought it couldnt be related, but it is.

If not, check all your hoses all over again...
