JUN has itb, not roller barrels. Tomei proved that you can still win races with the stocker though. They took the itb's off their racecar after struggling for a couple years, then can in 1st at the hyper meet last year.

Most of these "V-Mounts" miss the point and do not have the airflow perdendicular to the core. If only they use a stepped core.

Sure, cause V-mounts are only suited to relatively lower power applications. The design sates the same issue though - having the IC bleed onto the radiator. There's more than one solution.

Of course is more than one solution about our ''Subaru'' problems but here is v-mount thread. I donít say that is not good, I said that is not a v-mount.

So you're saying that Prodrive's got it wrong? There's more than one way to skin a cat. Ducting and airflow plays a huge part in the design. Yes, airflow that's not perpendicular to the core isn't ideal, but it's not the end of the world.

I think that the biggest design cue to take here is the compromises and advantages.

There's some of these pictures that haven't taken advantage of what a v mount can offer. They've still got 8 feet of pipe, and in order to package the IC they've used a core that's half the size of a front mount. Doesn't make much sense to me...

If you're going to design a V mount, take your ideas from Prodrive, and weigh the compromises with the advantages.

while the power enterprise set is really cool there is no reason why that should cost $5000...
