Hi folks,
My name is Luke, and I've haunted this forum for quite a while now. I figured it was about time to say hi.

I bought my 2005 WRX new in May 2004, because I needed a dependable daily driver, while I worked on my degree. I finally graduated last year Summa Cum Laude with a BSEE, and have been looking for a job in the field.

The car is great, aside from mostly small complaints I have with the interior, such as the steering wheel. The leather of the wheel started to separate right after I bought it, and became progressively worse. I ended up putting a leather cover over it to prevent the leather from separating any more. The car also has developed various rattles over time; they are really more of an annoyance than a problem. It has been a good car overall.

Looking forward to many discussions.

Luke

Yeah, the squeaks and rattles all pretty much come with the car over time. You can try and pin-point some of them and you may succeed in finding and fixing them, but our cars are just kind of prone to developing them.

Congratulations on the Summa Cum Laude. That's awesome man.

Welcome Aboard.

subies are known to have squeaks and little noises. you're right in saying that they are just an annoyance, but i dont know anybody that wouldn't buy a subie because of it. i guess we just have minimize them or just get used to it. anyhow, welcome.
