Question local area tuners

I've researched this a little bit with little success. Does anyone know of any open-source tuners in the Indiana / Indianapolis area?

I know there's Freon over at OpenECU forums but he doesn't ever respond to my PMs when asked about what he charges to do a custom tune.

Suggestions? Is anyone else looking for a local area tuner? If so, where?

I know the NW suburbs Of Chicago are a bit far for you, but 555 motorsports comes into Chicago on a regular basis. Try contacting him about doing a road trip to your area. If you could get a group together I'm pretty sure he would do it. Matt's a good guy!

Personally I would never do anything other than a dyno tune for my car. Not even a road tune. I'd just find someone local to you that can do it. I'm lucky enough that the best Subaru tuner in my state is 15 minutes away.

there is much debate about dyno tune vs road tune and in my experience power differences are slim if any. The best part about a road tune is the part throttle and driving around alllows more time on part throttle where as a dyno typically the tuners only focus on full throttle and peak power.

I can definitely help you guys out with your cars, whether it's in person or over the internet.

It's always good to see the tuners themselves chime in. I wasn't knocking what you do in any way, but what you said makes me appreciate my tuner even more, since he refuses to tune for peak numbers, but rather driveability and safe, reliable power.
