Default Garage Tuning Twin Scroll Kit????

I did a search on the Garage Tuning twinscroll kits but nothing really pulled up about the kits themselves......I was wondering if anyone is running them, power results, etc..? The price is AMAZING for the entire kit......Its one of those, "Too good to be true" situations (I know, I know....you dont have to lecture me about that)! Any input?

You didn't find my thread ?
Yes the price is amazing I was thinking about get in it for my car, but of all the people that I have talk about it think, its not a good idea. First of all the kit is made from mild steel, which will rust on places with high salt concentration, not an issue to some of us.

Second, the turbo is design for T3 twin scroll flanged turbos, which are there not many turbos to choose from, also the T3 flange hurts the top end.

Third, it comes with dual 38mm stardard wastegates not V-band 38mm, they have a bad reputation as leakers, but I heard that they make better gasket for them now.

I am going to wait for some testing and base my decision on the testing .

wow, more info on the kit. Does garage tuning have a thread dedicated to the turbo kit? It looks amazing! It looks to be ceramic coated of some sort, those pipes look fresh.

The exhaust manifold, uppipe and downpipe are all ceramic coated.

The Tial 38's will leak if the accepting flange is of low quality, as in it's too thin and eventually warps. The GT kit has nice thick flanges.

I spoke with Garage tuning a few months back about their twin scroll kit. It is a nice kit that is made to order, which allows for a few options. They will make it with stainless steel piping if you so request. The only down sides I see are the 38mm non-V band wastegates, and the small T3 .78 twin scroll exhaust housing. If the 1.06 T3 twin scroll housing was available it would be a better match IMHO, just ask all the TSR70 guys.

It is good to see more twin scroll options available to the Subaru community. A little competition will lead to better products and lower pricing.

couldnt you just buy v band wastegates and modify the uppipe to take the new ones????? For that price you will still be ahead compared to all the other kits!

you still end up paying the same. it comes with none of the extra's needed and its not stainless. to make it stainless is another 1,000 dollars.

dont get me wrong, looks great. but all said and done you pay the same price as everyone else.

Looks like a nice alternative to the usual single-scroll kits you see out near the same price range.

why the 44mm the 38mm is the same crap, and Full-Race is going to 38mm V-band anyways. I like this kit but we need testing.

V-band is the key to that equation. 38mm non v-band tend to suck a bit compared to the 44mm which was the only V-band option at the time.

Looks like you still have to get the exhaust manifold as it's not listed in that ad.
