Default Need Help!

So I drove my wife to work from around Dumfires Walmart to Potomac Mills Mall, stopped at Wegmans. picked up friend from across the street of my apartment went to WAWA. so a total trip of about 16 miles.

Problem stopped at WAWA and turned off car. It would not start back up. Saw warning lights on and some blinking. after about ten minutes, car would start, but the lights are still on. since my apartment was not too far away, drove straight home and now I am here asking for help.

Warning lights:
AT OIL TEMP - flashing
CRUISE - flashing
TRACTION CONTROL - on
ABS - on
CHECK EGINE - on

vehicle info:
2008 tribeca

-Dale

edit: not driving like an azzhat either.

cruise will flash anytime a check engine light is on. Have you read the codes? A basic OBD II code reader is not a bad investment.... only about $30 and works on any vehicle.

Sounds like your tranny got over heated somehow. You really gotta know the codes though.

Auto parts stores will OBD II your car for free.

But as previously said, you need codes to determine problems, especially if you can't hear anything wrong.

Tribeca's always have been known for their electronic issues.

By any chance did you spin tires or anything due to being stuck? That alone can probably set the CEL, Cruise light to flash and VDC.

LOL, yeah thats why i got the sti as my backup vehicle.

no i did not get stuck or spin the tires that much. yes there is ice and slush out there, so a little tire spin here and there, but nothing harsh for the vehicle. I had no problem in the last storm we had and that's what is confusing the he11 out of me. no sounds or smells. I was too thinking that something electronic went sour on me. IDK, but hopefully Mike at Beyer will be in tomorrow and can help me out. I have a OBD II reader, but unfortunately it is 600 miles away, which does me no good at the moment.

Highly likely you over heated the transmission fluid.

People may not realize it, but our center differs are working HARD in the snow and any loose conditions, really.
