Default V-Dubs invade i-Club

Nice to see a diverse crowd in the forum. I hope the title of the website doesn't turn you guys away. Do you think we can get some hardcore Honda owners to post? When can we get those Dub G-tech runs posted?

CSi SvA is more diverse then I-club will ever be. ****, there are more domestic owning moderators on that site then honda owning ones. The SvA section runs out all of the *******/trolling losers.

Lots of good tech can be learned form that site if you stick to the right boards. The guys in the boost froum know their ****.

lol, Well the main reason I have came over here to hang, is because there really is no other Alaska Forum on the net that actully has users on it at a constant level. And aslo I think WRX's kick ass. I should be getting my G-Tech in a little while. Going to make some runs tonight. Dont know how acurate they will be, because I have some OEM Standard GLS Rims on my car right now, which I THINK are about 5-6lbs heavier then my Stock BBS's, if you want to hear the Story check out the thread "Places to get Tires Swapped".

You should let me know when you are going to do some runs. I wouldn't mind going.

Ben was talking about the mushy shifting of the Audi but I think the Vdub has that same luxury feel. Did you throw in a short shifter? Does it or will it improve the feel? My KartBoy and bushings is solid. We'll have to swap cars for a day.

The throws in a VW are long. I haven't put a short shifter in yet, it would be nice. My throw is about 6 inches, gear to gear. But like any car that you drive a lot you get used to the shifting and get good at it.

Actully the throw on my car isnt to bad, but I do plan on getting a short shifter probably for my next mod. I did go out tonight and try to get some Runs on the G-Tech, was pretty damn tired tho. But anyways, my main problem is my launch, get tons of wheel hop. My Motor Mounts are sposed to help it, which I belive they do, but part of it is my tecnique, need to change the PSI on the tires (They are at 32, lol), and it being real cold out doesnt really help the tires grab. Tommrorw during the afternoon I am going to try to screw around.

Do you have the ASR off? Just kidding.

The motor mounts should help and tires. Pressure will help too. Are you lauching at different RPMs to find the right match up?

I did the hacksaw chop on my Jetta. It was a temporary solution to a long term goal. I read some bad things about short shifters in dubs. Some people had problems with the 2nd gear synchro going bad? Does that sound right?

I went out to Rabbit Creek? I dont know if that is the right name, just right when you get out of Anchorage Towards Seward. I just have alot of playing around to do on the Launch. After you chip the 1.8T you have anywhere between 210 and 220 tq (On the average) at the wheel, that is alot of torque.
