Exclamation I seriously wanna move to the Bay Area....

This is gonna sound completely off the wall, but I seriously want to move to California, particularly the bay area.

Yes, I know the economy is crap...yes, I know the bay area is one of the most expensive places to live in all of the US. But I am DEAD SERIOUS. My business is going down the drain, I am really sick of Canada and Montreal all together and I am looking for a change.

So SERIOUSLY, if you guys know of anyone hiring, PLEASE let me know.

I guess I would be looking for some type of marketing/product management position. More for consumer type products. I worked in the pro-audio/DJ field...but am not limited to that. Also (obviously) love cars and motorcycles, and would LOVE to work in those fields as well!

Yeah...I know its a long shot...but I'm friggin serious here....

Thanks!

So what's your place look like up in Montreal? How much does it cost to live up there?

What are you not liking about Montreal / Canada that makes you want to move?

What kind of jobs are up there?

I have a brand new 3 floor townhouse, about 1600 sqft (not incl basement), 3 bedrooms, 3 bath, single car garage...would sell for around $330K. Its about 10-15 miles from the downtown core. Love the place!

I guess I'm just sick of being here..been here all my life, need a change of scenery. Also, even tho I grew up here, I CANNOT stand the winters here anymore...literally 6 months of HELL. Snow, ice, -25 degree weather...its depressing. Summer seems to be getting worse these past couple of years too. Besides the weather, there are the little things, like the politics, the whole french situation, the crumbling roads...

I love the west coast...especially northern cali. Not too hot, not too cold, but no snow. Plenty of scenery, beaches....seemingly endless job opps (all the major companies are there). Plus, everything is just CHEAPER in the US (well, except for housing ).

In terms of jobs, they are aplenty, but not in my field. Lots of manufacturing, telemarketing and pharmacuticals...telecomm and aeronautics.

So who wants to switch?

I'm 2 and a half hours from the bay area. I'm sick and tired of California and would love to move to Canada.

Canada is awesome, I could understand wanting to move out of Montreal. I mean, nobody likes Montreal.
