Question Wipers?

Does anybody have any suggestions for a really good wiper (especially for winter)?

Best wipers I ever owned have been piaa. Pretty pricy yet has lasted a long time. I got mine in late 2006 and since then I have never bought new wiper blades. Only recently have they started to wear out.

Another for the Icons, but definitely shop around. For as good as they are, I still don't think they're $20 a piece good. Hell, I'm not a fan of paying the $12 a piece that I do, but they've lasted over a year for me.

Bosch Icons! They may be a little pricey, but they're worth it!

I've been using PIAA Super Silicon wipers and they're amazing, I've had them for a few months and I'm really happy with them.

Might try the Bosch Icons on another car to see how they compare.

After having piaa's for years I don't think I would go back. Looking for a set for my truck now. With the extreme temperatures here of hot to melt them or the cold and freezing. These have been the best. Otherwise I would have to buy new blades every few months.

I'm using the Anco Contour's now and they seem to do a good job. For those using the PIAA's how do they work in low temp snowing conditions? Do they ice up at the pivot joints?

Stay away from the rainx lattitudes. Cheap icon imitation. They are streaking terribly at 5 months.

I just checked out PIAA's site and they have a new blade called the Forza Hybrid. http://www.shopatron.com/index/pg=6/353.0.10546.0.0.0.0
They range in price from $32.99 to $39.99!!

I'm loving the Icons, though they're expensive. Advance Autoparts sometimes has a buy 1 get 1 free sale, that's the time to stock up.

We use Trico neoforms. We had them for like 2 years (same set) on our 03 that we just traded yesterday and bought a new set for our 06 sport we picked up.

I've used the PIAA's in Winnipeg weather and haven't had any problems with icing up.

I've noticed that in light snow/rain and when traveling at a decent speed you don't even have to turn your wipers on, the water just rolls off without a trail.

Overall very happy with them.

I have had pretty good luck with the RAIN-X blades .. for the price (9 dollars or so) they beat the hell out of the 3-5 dollar typical replacements... but I am in the South East and we mostly get cold rain in winter

Default I have had luck with the Trico

I put new blades on each winter and spring. I currently have the Bosch ICON™ on and have not been happy. I wanted the trico's but they only had one. so the local auto parts store talked me into these. They just seem to be more streaky than any other blades I have had.

I do use the Rain-X products, but have not tried their wipers.

Windshield wipers are a cheep insurance policy. That's why i replace them every 6 months. I think i'll go back to the Trico's this spring.

I live in Denver, so wipers are important in the winter.

What's this "winter" you speak of? The wipers will sure help with the sunny and mid-70's weather here this week.

yes, a mild winter on the high plains here, but also travel up to the mountains quite frequently. and if you were here and remember, i think March of 2003 started out just this way, then boom we got 30+ inches on the 17th.

Just my luck, I was living in San Diego when that storm hit I hope this month is like that though. I want at least a foot or two, maybe even three.
