I don't think this saying actually refers to clothing.

I would feel a little weird showing up at work dressed like this:

I wear what I want to work...

T-Shirt, Jeans, Adidas

Why would I want to dress in something uncomfortable?!?!

Considering the state of the economy and the meteoric rise of unemployment.. perhaps there should be an official OT thread about getting a job? job search engines, interview tips... all that cool stuff... there are plenty of professionals in OT who have a ton of valuable advice that can be shared with the community.

literally? no, i don't agree. figuratively? totally. I TRY to dress a little better than I am required to dress. I don't always succeed, but I certainly think it's worth the minimal effort...

I really enjoy where I work right now, at a Golf Course on the Grounds Crew. If I were to dress like this all the time, I'd look like a slob.

I have only two choices for clothes total right now. On or off work. Uniform or PT gear so i dont really have much say in the matter.

i'm unemployed, but i tend to agree.

but, in my past experiance, i'd have to comprimise.. manufacturing places where clothes get easily trashed.... i'd wear a tuxedo t shirt.

I dunno kinda like the saying champagne taste on a beer budget.

I could be dressed head to toe in Burberry, Prada and Gucci but that doesn't say I'm any smarter or richer...I could have in fact put myself into debt trying to look that way.

I don't dress like a slob when I work, but I also don't go to work in a ballgown and heels. I dress how the majority of people around me dress. I've worked in other offices where I've had to dress up more than business casual and then the last place I worked at was casual to business casual.

I go to work in whatever i feel like. Pajamas/sweatpants, soccer shorts, jeans, tall tees, beaters, ski pants, sandals, no shoes, its all good and i love it, and i got a promotion 3 months ago. I *doubleheart* my jerb as well which is always a plus.
