Quaker steak was OK. I'd say it's a tossup between them and BWW. QS has happy hour, if we go just before 7 we can get our first round in for a good price.

*Moving Sale Update*

I also have a Perrin 4.5" foam air filter if anyone needs it. It is brand new still in the sealed packaging. I paid $50 for it. Willing to take $30 to get it off my hands... It will fit the Cobb SRI, not sure what else.

Optical Audio Cables $15 (I have 6)

Propane Grill Tank - half full $10 (dibs to Alden)

Thanks for the tank Mark, it will see use at future subaru meets! Let us know anytime you're in the area, and good luck in Cincinnati!

Thanks to everyone else that showed up, I think we had a decent showing and I feel like we're starting to come together as a group. I'm glad the evo guys showed up, they fit just fine with our posse. Also, I hereby declare meets to be a weekly thing. Same time, same place. When the weather gets nicer we'll discuss a possible venue change to something outdoors. If anyone has ideas for special weekend events, don't hesitate to share.

No problem, Alden. I wanted to give the tank away to someone who will get good use out of it.

Thanks to everyone who came out yesterday, I had a lot of fun (hopefully Rob isn't still at BW3... ). It was great getting to know all of you, and I'm sure that I will be back sometime in the future. Let me know if any of you are ever heading down towards Cinci for anything, and we can meet up.

Best,
Mark

OK, so I was balancing my checking last night and for the life of me I couldn't figure out where I had extra money showing up. Finally the light bulb clicked on and I started looking through my online banking for the charge from Quaker Steak last week Tuesday. The dumb little waitress never charged my account!

Didn't you have issues with that and give it back to her at least once?

She took my card up there and brought it back I signed the receipt and put the tip on there...she came back with ANOTHER book and I said I already paid. So she went to close it out...apparently she did nothing with my card the first time around lol.

Is there anyone in GR or Kzoo that can install my ACT clutch kit and flywheel on my 09 Sti? I can pay good money! The guy that was going to do the work for me flaked out and I need to have this broken in by the end of next month. I'm getting a rotated gt3071 kit installed and tuned at the end of Feb. and need the clutch stuff done before hand. Can anyone in W. MI help??? Again, I'll pay up!

On another note I would call up Austin Jordan engines for Hot Tank services and machining. Obviously you are gonna want to have pistons with block for honing Cwalls to assure proper clearances.
Thanks for the tip on Austin-Jordan engines was just what I was looking for. The piston was pulled by the previous owner, I still haven't broken it down. Not sure now If I want to commit to doing this build without fresh heads + turbo setup. But really I just want to learn more so putting together this block and having it sitting around wouldn't be hurting me at all. My plans were to swap ej257 crank, rods, pistons in the best case scenario. Or different pistons if needed.

I gotta come out to a meet, I keep wasting my money on ebay instead of the bars. Just Picked up a set of 235/40/17 Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3 for $275 shipped to my door. Best tire deal I think I have ever gotten

Well I am trying to fight the urge but right now it is winning and we put a small deposit on an 04 FXT 5MT pending inspection. We went and test drove it this afternoon and have questions about it. I am a bit iffy on it b.c it is modified but it drove nice.

Just from looking/driving it we can tell visually it has the grill, mudflaps, debadging, painted stockies and yellow fogs. Mechanically it has at least an STI axle back if not cat back, Shorty DP, Some kind of TMIC, and the Turbo is not a td04 but some kind of IHI VF, not sure which one. I don't have a clue if it is tuned or not but it doesn't seem to pull that much harder then our Auto FXT.

Do any of you know this car/previous owner or what has been done to it specifically?

Is there any place that you would recommend taking it to to get it inspected? They said I could have it all day but not over night so I was thinking about taking it to the Subaru dealer in MKG just b.c its local.

I wouldn't want to lower it that much but maybe Swift springs. I love the looks of a slammed FXT but not how it feels on bumps and makes it unusable for hauling stuff.

I'm not sure where you should take it. I'm sure as you know, very few people take their cars to the dealer here.

I know a few others have said they didn't like Delta and I don't really like their parts counter due to lack of knowledge when picking up simple gaskets and them just making things hard for no reason. I think The Muskegon dealer might have a better reputation but don't quote me on that.

Somebody might chime in with the real details, I just own an old car haha.

Could this have possibly of have been Cory's FXT? I haven't seen him in a long while, but it looks like his FXT. Perhaps Alden might know and chime in.

I take my 08 to Delta. Mainly because its close by and my car is still under warranty, not to mention buying my car from there. To this date I have not had ANY issues from Delta with any service done with my car.

That might be yeah4me2's old car. With the early FXT, you could swap the turbo, i/c, and ecu with STi since the FXT came with the EJ257 and AVCS.

MY > Delta

Adrian actually mentioned that after we drove it bc he would have done that if his was a manual. If that is the case I wouldn't be so worried. I am still going back and forth on getting rid of my G so we will see what happens.

edit: Ok so yeah4me2 is Corey and I believe he was the 2nd owner of this car but haven't found out if he is the one that did the mods yet or not. Time to keep doing more looking.

Double Edit: Found out he did most if not all of the mods to it. Hmm
