It was nice meeting a few new people today! A few of us are discussing, and we may just change the meets to every other Saturday, so the next meet will be on Saturday, March 19, 1p:

Aron...that's just bad ass What color lugs? Red? that will look very sweet man. I still can't decided which color to go with...maybe....Purple

Alden....don't you think EVERY Saturday is a bit excessive. If you do it too often, it's just gonna end up like it was before all the new guys. There will be like 2 or 3 guys showin up. Just sayin'.

I have a question for the subaru pro's. Since I'm running a bigger turbo now and going to be tuned for around 22-25psi, can the stock recirc. valve support it or would I have to go with an aftermarket bov application?

I would go aftermarket. Look on FAQ on here. I think stock can hold like up to 20psi.

Personally I think 1pm is too late in day. It should be earlier so those of us that need to be productive can do so. It just breaks up the day.

It's a crapshoot..Some have had no problems with the stock BPV. Others leak at 18psi...I ran 24psi on my stock STI valve..so...you could mod yours. Either crush it or tap it and add a set screw to block pressure from reaching the diaphragm and pushing it open. (search for BPV DIY mods)
But I'm sure you could find a decent used Forge recirc valve on these forums for $50-75.

While it may be tempting to get a VTA BOV, just don't do it. Way more trouble than it's worth.
Even the 50/50 valves will wreak havoc on your MAF readings.

Good luck man. Where you gettin tuned?

Thanks for the information guys. I'm going to keep it easy and try to find a forged valve probably. I planned on going to P&L to get it tuned.

Engine/trans is dropped back in. Everything is all put back together except a couple things. Getting all new fluids tomorrow, and hopefully starting it up.

Would like to sell my tires to someone in this area. Falken Azenis RT-615 225/45/17. 80% tread. $300 bucks for all 4. Loved these tires but just don't need them for the 2.5i anymore. PM me if interested.

We have had a loud clunk over bumps in my car since we bought it. Corey said it was the left front endlink making noise, but it turns out it was the left front battery LOL Both of the tie downs were just dangling so the battery was moving around on bumps. We just put them back on and no more clunking, that is one of the cheapest fixes I have ever done.

We are moving meets to Saturday. It was suggested that we just have them on Saturday instead of during the week, since more people can make it out on Saturday. It was also suggested that they be weekly on Saturday, but that may be excessive, and if we have regular meets every other Saturday, that opens up the alternate Saturdays for install meets, detail meets, and others. Any opinions?

We will have the next one at 1p, but the following can be a different time and place. I would say either 11:30a or 12:30p to try and get around the lunch rush.

I would also like to see if we can have an install meet and detail meet in April. Amy and I have plenty of room to work, and we have a random-orbit polisher, if there is enough people interested in the detail we can split the cost of the materials needed. We may want to get one or two more random-orbit polishers, though, there are three steps that need a polisher.

All great ideas. I keep flaking out on the meets, I apologize...last Saturday it was kind of crappy out and I was hungover as balls. Keep me in the know about detailing/install meet. Future projects are installing my new plugs and a boost gauge... and don't laugh this will be my first boxer plug replacement haha.

Question for all the G.R. Peeps, I got an 09 2.5i...I'm looking for lowering springs, nothing too agressive, for the snow and awesome roads we have, what would you guys suggest. I'm leaning towards Epic Springs, also from what I know if I run stock shocks/struts it will be a matter of time before they blow, so I was wondering of sti or wrx shocks/strts would work out better. Suggestions?

I think if they are interchangeable, I would get at least a set of WRX struts maybe Eibach/TEIN springs?

I'm on STi struts with Eibach Pro kit springs. I absolutely love it. Obviously I will eventually move on to coil overs..
