Hey Rob, do you have those part numbers for the subframe lockdown bolts and bronze bearings? And did they have them in stock?

I work with taps daily, so borrowing one for a night won't be an issue. I'm really doubting I'll need it though.. My 04 only has 19k miles, lol.

Just as a heads up to anyone else: I bought a pack of bolts (10), and a full set of bushings to go along with those (10), so I have an extra 3 sets if someone wants to throw a couple bucks my way. I have mine and one other set spoken for, the others are available.

Oh, is the guy who was driving behind me on Monroe going northbound around 5pm today in the 08+ WRX Sedan on here? I was trying to make a bit of noise to see if you'd throw a wave, but you were pretty busy going wherever you were going, haha.

I believe it's a much cheaper DIY substitute for kart boy subframe lockdown bolts. How much more vibration does this add? Worth doing on a dd?

Are you parting out the wagon? Or are you getting rid of them because you're doing a 6 speed/5x114 swap?

You've got a set then! You can either swing by my place and pick it up (and use my tap if you'd like, too), or I can hand off the set next time we get to a meet or something.

I've got one set left if anyone else wants it.

Travis,

I want to check these out.
I was talking about them yesterday.

Also,
How many other Flat Black rides have you seen in town ?
I spotted a Hawkeye STI on the way back from Magnum Opus, and there is that other 2000 Wagon (Autozone friend ) with the roofscoop is now Flatblack as well.

So I installed the rear lockdown last week. Doesn't seem that much of a difference to me. Might feel better after I change all of my rear bushing to group N stuff.

Buy them and I'll toss in a Mil-spec Camo Matte Black epoxy paint for free.
Or i'll paint them for $450.

As for the Locking hardwear:
We have seen this issue with the PGT / SP class Rally Cars for years.
PGT cars couldn't run the Lockout hardware... but I'm not sure if the SuperProduction class would be allowed to. Openlite / Open can have them however.

I always laugh when I see these parts on streetcars that don't AutoX / RallyX / Drag or do Track days...anyway, the issue happens when the car compresses from a hard corner, off a YUMP, or Crest and / or lands at off-camber or at an angle, it can move alot. Normally it throws the alighnment out of spec and there is a noise on hard launches and when the suspension travlels it freaks out the drivers / crews can't find the problem.
Sometimes it will even visually STRIFE or "Dog-leg" the car.

Its important to note that there is about 3/4" of radial movement ( looking straight down at the diff ) that takes place without the locker bolts. and for some applications, you wouldn't want them.
