Sooooo

Changed the tensioner with one that I had from the XT same PN btw.

Noise is still there! I Dont think its that serious?!?!? I'll just have to keep the EWG opened up along with the radio blaring. Yanni most likely.

Pulled 2 logs this morning NO knock at all!

So i think I ll drive it until it either gets worse or dies. Just have to watch it.

Pricing out a 2.5 block monday:

OEM 2.5 with nitrite treated crank

10103AC050

Got a price from Josh at Import. Decent. I want to see what the stealership can do though.

I Figure theres no way I'm putting a 2.0 block back in this car and THe Ej22T wont give me the tourque or numbers I want.

So 2.5 might be the ticket...........with different pistons cuz the sti's are still cast ****!

Its cool from everything I've read you can swap everything from the 2.0 block except the oil pan and you'd prob want a new oil pump.

Ive seen silly numbers on E85 on some of these hybrid builds even at stock CR flavors.

Yeah buddy, a 2.5 Hybrid is the way to go for you! I think the ej22 would be better suited for a DD, so with that in mind, what would you want for it?

If I were you I'd look into getting your heads CNCd to get the same combustion chamber volume as the Sti. Otherwise you will not be at the stock.compression any more.

It isn't.too much money either, I believe.around $400. As for the short block.price, you could get a new one of those for $1850 +- $50 and sell the pistons for $100. That's about what.I paid from mike at built industries in Florida. he will drop pistons in too if you want him to. Good Guy.

Tell him I sent you for a possible price decrease. CP pistons all the way!

I would have the combustion chambers flared out to match the bore of the 2.5L block at a minimum. For sure!

He did my 2004 black Sti today and did an awesome job. I had a lot of little scratches and imperfections before, now The car looks brand new. Better then when I bought it. I HIGHLY recommend.

I'm sure there are, but luckily for me Matte Black can't be waxed/clay bar'd, otherwise I'd be giving my car to you.

Aron: Tune update?

Rob: Figure out the squeak/tick?

Anyone interested in trading my GReddy coilovers for their struts plush cash on your end? I want a more comfortable ride in my car, and don't need it so damn low. I'm looking for $1000 total worth, so depending on what we think your suspension is worth, we'll need to even up to that mark with cash.
