He removed them a little bit ago I guess so it's all white. I'm leaning towards the blue, it's just a 6 hour drive to it. Not 100% sure yet

White car will need all season tires or a snow set for sure. Graphics were also removed.
The blue one no doubt a couple things about the white on scare me alot.

1.He likes to brag about things that should not even be said like the Brembo brakes that every STI has like it is a upgrade.

2.Then he states he has a Blow off Valve + Turbo Timer neither are needed remotely. Most of us stay away from a BOV unless its needed or super cool rice sound either way with factory turbo intercooler ect no need for a aftermarket BOV.

3.He has a Turbo back header upipe ect and brags about a turbo timer which my guess cost around $100 with no mention of a TUNE (unless i missed it) which would cost in the range of $300-600.

While the blue sti talks more about how he maintained the car which seems like a safer bet when buying a car that is bought to beat on.
Take my opinion as a uneducated guess alot of these other guys know heck of alot more then me.

I have pretty much an Auto dccd with manual option with just the basics that he supplies. Dont need to have fancy STI switches and show up on my gauge cluster.
I have the switchs. I just really want to know of the auto function is worth more money for what I would use it for.

I would like to get a sti cluster!

He also has implemented a left foot braking setting which basically I think opens up the diff.

Auto is completely worth having, especially since you are race your wrx. It constantly changes the torque output from fromt to rear to put the power down where you need it. Easily worth the extra money for the Auto. I rarely use manual mode on my controller and thats usually used to launch my car in snow or gravel.

I'll be there.

Started and finished the exhaust today. I love the way that it sounds, but holy **** I spent the whole day fighting the welder. This was my first time welding stainless with stainless wire and it was pretty much a horrible experience. I bought a bottle of straight Argon, but should have went 97% Argon, 3% Co2. Oh well, now I know for next time. No argon = cold welds (and that's what I was fighting).

I finished just one axle back and it's the catted version, but dammit does it sound beautiful. I'll be doing a straight pipe version for the summer months when I get enough gumption, haha

I need a new flange for the DP, or maybe just a whole new DP. The flange currently on it is warped and leaks like a sunovabitch.

Default GR area meeting??

I just picked up a 2004 Wrx wagon, and I was wondering if there is a local group that meets in the GR area. I would love to get connected to more owners. Let me know. This is my first posting, so hope I am in the right forum.

cheers

Yep. We park at 312 Ellsworth. Be there around 6.

Yeah Louie, you can hear it tomorrow. I have to hear how loud it's going to be with the launch control kicking, haha

Edit: Mike, that's also a pretty hefty claim of 320hp.. Break or wheel? List of mods to get you to that power level?

Edit again: Levon, do you still want to part ways with that wingless trunk you have? PM me if you do.

PMd you Travis.

Bump from 20 posts ago about filling the diff. I also broke a pump when doing it the first time. When I swapped to my 07 diff I used two jugs of fluid with a tube pushed hard onto the tip of jug #1. I squeezed as much as I could in there, and took note of the amount left. Then I topped it off with jug #2 and repeated until it wad full. Only leaks I had were from when it got full and was dripping out, so very little. I then used the rest in the transmission so it wasn't wasted. (M1 75w90) putting in Motul 300 here soon. I don't like the mobile 1 at all. notchy shifts were expected, but I didn't want to leak high dollar fluid not knowing if a leak was present or not.

My car has the resistor mod, but I don't understand why.. I have the code shut off in my tune. If you want my resistor I can pull it out of the plug and hand it over to you.

hey i was thinking about doing a saturday meet in kalamazoo for the bar i used to DJ at. I could get together with the manager and make some sort of special since we are coming as a group...i wanted 20+ subaru's, he would block off parking spots and possibly do a special cook out. It would help him advertise because i mean...come on who doesn't notice 20+ subaru's in a parking lot next to eachother. Anyone seem interested? and do you think we could get 20+ subi's?

If only we were that lucky.

Open it up to other car manufacturers and you'll get that number. If it's just Subaru I'd pass.
