Yeah, only problem is its hard to find a list of what stuff we are really going to need parts wise. I found a decent deal on what i think are most if not all of the parts needed mechanically but after that im lost.

Oh ****, didn't expect that! How come you guys don't want to do the swap? Rob did it in a weekend. Invite a couple of us over and we can knock it all out easily.

Do you guys have all the components, or do you need them to source some pieces? Is it going to just be labor on their part?

I think <<< we will have all the mechanical parts that we will need if i make the trip on saturday to go get them, its the wiring that is confusing. Switching from a auto-5 or 6 speed seems to require alot of guess work and trouble shooting.

That'd be what Rob has in his car, and that's a r160.

If that's the case, then you're getting an awesome diff. You'll need his rear subframe to it isn't the same as our r160/180's

Beg? Nope, tell him it's included because of all the other stuff you're buying. If he balks at that then you can just find a local r160.

If the turbo is in good shape then that's an awesome deal. E85 would have at around 300whp worth that turbo, but those injectors won't be enough for fueling.

Lol yeah you're raping him.. i sold my vf39 with 160k on it for 365 i think.

This is a question cause I don't know the answer... do the stock injectors respond well to added base pressure? He could bump up the base fuel pressure and get them to flow a little more with that 255. I think that the 255 will provide enough head room with the added pressure to use the pinks.

Here's my two cent.

VF 39 on a 2 liter block isn't worth it. Car doesn't breath enough. Takes 8 years to spool. And on E85 you'd be lucky to see 280 atw.

We tried with Ewg and 23 lbs.

I had the 39 on for like two months before I ripped that pos off. It took too long to spool for me! On a 2.5 that's a different story.

I wouldn't do a Vf 39 in a 2 liter. Go for at least an 18G!
